This outstanding achievement reflects the program’s commitment to excellence in leadership development, citizenship, discipline, community service, and cadet achievement. The assessment evaluates the overall effectiveness of the AFJROTC unit, including program management, cadet leadership, and adherence to established standards.

CCSD Superintendent Dr. Shawn Johnson praised the cadets and instructors for their dedication to excellence and their commitment to representing the district with distinction. “Excellence is not simply something we talk about in Clarendon County School District, it is something we expect, model, and demonstrate through our actions. Earning a 90.3 and an overall rating of ‘Exceeds Standards’ is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and commitment of our Manning High School AFJROTC cadets and instructors. This accomplishment demonstrates what happens when high expectations are met with intentional leadership, accountability, and a shared commitment to success. We are extremely proud of this program and the opportunities it provides our students to develop into future leaders.”

Manning High School Principal Dr. McCorkle echoed those sentiments, emphasizing the pride this achievement brings to the entire Monarch family. “Our AFJROTC cadets have demonstrated that excellence is achieved through preparation, perseverance, teamwork, and pride in everything they do. These young men and women represent the very best of Manning High School, and we are proud of the example they set for their peers. Their success reminds us that when students are challenged, supported, and empowered, they can exceed even the highest expectations.”

The AFJROTC program provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills, strengthen character, build self-confidence, and engage in service to their school and community. Through these experiences, cadets gain valuable skills that prepare them for success in college, careers, military service, and life.

Clarendon County School District extends its congratulations to the Manning High School AFJROTC cadets, instructors, and school leadership for this remarkable accomplishment.
