On Thursday, our Civics students had the opportunity to hear from Attorney Eleazer Carter in recognition of Constitution Day. Attorney Carter shared his knowledge and experience with students and spoke about the Constitution, the law, and Clarendon County’s historic Briggs v. Elliott case.

We are grateful to Attorney Carter for taking the time to speak with our students and help connect the history they learn in the classroom to the history of their own community 🇺🇸📚⚖️

Students in Mr. Carranza's Spanish 2 classes celebrated Central American Independence Day (on September 15th) by promoting cultural pride, respect, and appreciation for the history and traditions of the region. Students represented the national symbols of each Central American country, including their flags, national animals, flowers, birds, and other cultural symbols. Through creative presentations, costumes, and performances, students learned about the unique identity of each country while recognizing the shared history and cultural connections among the nations of Central America.
This activity provided an opportunity for students to learn, share, and appreciate the diversity and heritage of Central America in a festive and educational environment.
