🚌 Back to School Bus Safety Reminder! 🚌
As we begin the new school year, we want to remind all CCSD families of the rules that govern every school bus in the Clarendon County School District. These expectations are in place to help ensure a safe, respectful, and positive ride for every student and our dedicated bus drivers.
Please take a few moments to review these bus rules with your child before the first day of school. Working together, we can create an environment where every student arrives at school safely and ready to learn.
📱 Cell Phone Reminder:
Students may use cell phones while riding the bus; however, phone calls are not permitted, and audio must remain at a low volume to avoid disrupting the driver or other students. Upon arriving on campus, all cell phones must be powered off and placed in the campus cell phone storage box until the end of the school day.

Parents and guardians, please take a moment to review our 2026-2027 Attendance Guidelines to better understand excused and unexcused absences, attendance requirements, parent note limits, and how attendance impacts student success.

🍎 Students are required to attend at least 170 of the 180 school days.
📝 Parent notes must be submitted within 3 days of a student’s return to school.
📅 Family vacations and appointments should be scheduled during school breaks whenever possible.

She holds an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University and plans to pursue a doctorate in Educational Practice and Innovation. A devoted educator, reader, baker, wife and mother, Mrs. Ashman is a tireless advocate for teacher empowerment, strong classroom structure and student success.
