Our MJHS Boys Basketball team, 2022-2023, had an astronomical winning season of 19-0. They scored 1064 points, where the combination of the other teams' points was less than 500. We celebrated their Championship Ring Ceremony with our Coaches Annette Calvin & John Fulton present and Phillip Henry there in spirit, along with Arthur Moyd, CCSD Board Chair, Micheal Haynes, FFA Advisor, as our MC, Rev. W.J. Frierson, Clarendon County Council, Dr. Sharon Mellette, MJHS Dean of Students and many families and friends. Afterward, a celebratory lunch was served.

A formal dedication and tribute was held in honor of Coach and Teacher Premuel Louise Crosby Gibson who passed in 2018. Manning Junior High School has dedicated the gymnasium to Mrs. Gibson, who inspired her students and the community for decades.
