Our latest MJHS O6 Afterschool Spotlight Session💡 featured Mrs. Hailey Windham. Mrs. Windham is a wife, mom, and Certified Financial Crimes Specialist. While visiting, she shared her personal journey from growing up in Manning to becoming a nationally recognized fraud prevention leader and podcast host.

Mrs. Hailey provided age-appropriate education on the most common forms of fraud and empowered them to recognize and protect themselves and loved ones from scams. A student recognized her from a news segment with WISTV's Billie Jean Shaw. Mrs. Hailey shared that they were former classmates and she had Ms. Shaw send them a special message (see comments)! This was so exciting for our students and teachers!

Mrs. Hailey closed with heartfelt words of wisdom, urging students to:
-Be authentically themselves
-Stay curious and ask questions
-Dream big and participate in activities
-Be kind to others

Thank you, Mrs. Hailey for taking the time to share your story and encourage them to dream big and believe that even people from small towns like Manning, SC can work in incredible careers!

As we continue celebrating National Arts in Education Week, today’s spotlight shines on our very own Heather Manary, art teacher here at Manning Junior High School! 🎨✨ Mrs. Manary encourages her students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and discover the joy of expressing themselves through art. One recent project, Name Zentangles, began with students using their names, in cursive, as the starting point for their artwork. From there, they created imaginative designs filled with unique patterns and personal style. The finished pieces showcase both student creativity and Mrs. Manary’s inspiring guidance. We want to inform you of an important update regarding the Gear Up After-School Program. Beginning today, September 8, the program hours will change to 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This adjustment has been made to better support students and families. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we make this change. Also, bus transportation will not be available until further notice.

When visiting MJHS, please utilize the front parking lot. Parking in front of the building causes safety issues and can block traffic. Starting next week, vehicles that park in the driveway will be subject to ticketing.
