🏈 Celebrating a Legend! 🏆
The NY Giants celebrated their 100th season by selecting the top 100 players in the franchise's history, and we are thrilled to announce that our very own football coach, Terry Kinard, was among those honored! Coach Kinard, who played Safety for the Giants in the 80s, and his wife Cassandra, were invited to New York and given star treatment during the 100th Season Celebration Weekend. Out of over 5,000 candidates, Coach Kinard earned his spot among the Giants' greatest of all time.
A proud Sumter High School alum and Clemson graduate, Coach Kinard was chosen by the Giants in the first round fresh out of college. We are beyond excited that he has chosen MJHS as his team to coach!

MJHS Monarchs- MAP Testing will be held tomorrow, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14.

Thank you for your help in making our testing days more successful!

Hello parents and guardians! Thank you for your cooperation with the change to our pick up on Friday afternoon. It was a successful change! However, after some discussion, our administration has made a few updates that will ensure an even smoother pick up/drop off.
*Car riders arriving between 7:00-7:40am are to be dropped off at the back of the school by the cafeteria.
*Car riders arriving after 7:40am will need to be dropped off at the front of the school, as they are counted tardy and will need to be signed in.
*Car riders picked up between 2:50-3:15pm will be picked up from the gym.
*Car riders who are being picked up after 3:15pm will be moved to the front of the school, where they will need to be picked up.
Thanks again for your help in making our dismissal better for all!
#MJHS #LetsGoMonarchs

Attention Parents/Guardians!
Effective TODAY, we will be switching Car and Bus Pick Up. Car riders will now be picked up in the back of the school. Bus riders will be picked up in the front of the school. See photo below.
Thank you for your patience as we try to do what is best for all students' families.

Our team enjoying the 2024 Convocation!

Our staff celebrating the beginning of 2024 - 2025!

Earlier this week, the ELA Department welcomed our new 6th Grade International Teachers to our team. Both hailing from Jamaica, this is their first year in our district. Their names are Latoya Jackson and Karen Simms-Lawson. We are excited to have them at our school as we embark on the 2024-2025 school year.

🚨 Important Announcement from Clarendon County School District 🚨
Out of an abundance of caution due to the threat of Hurricane Debby, CCSD will operate on the following schedule beginning Tuesday, August 6th:
📅 Tuesday, August 6 - Thursday, August 8, 2024:
- e-Learning Days at Home: Students should use their devices to complete class assignments in Google Classroom to be marked present for the day. 🔗 https://5il.co/1zp0k
- After-school and Athletic Activities: Canceled from Tuesday, August 6 - Thursday, August 8, 2024.
CCSD strives to prioritize the safety of our staff, students, and their families while ensuring that learning continues at home.
⛈️ Substantial rainfall is expected to have the largest impact on the area, making student transportation unsafe. We will continue working closely with Clarendon County Emergency Services to make the best decisions for everyone's safety.
🔄 Stay Updated: Further updates regarding school operations will be communicated through our usual channels, including email, social media, and our website once the situation from the storm has been assessed.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. For any questions or concerns, please contact your student’s school office.
Stay safe, everyone! 🌧️🌪️
