Manning, SC – The Clarendon County School District proudly announced its 2025-2026 District Teacher of the Year at the district’s convocation to kickoff the new school year. With almost two decades of dedicated service to Clarendon County Schools, Dr. Jordan Jefferson, Manning High School Director of Bands and Choral Studies, was honored for his exceptional leadership, dedication, and impact on student success.
Adding to the excitement, district partner and supporter Shaun Kent of Kent Law Firm surprised Dr. Jefferson during the convocation with an all-expenses-paid trip for two to St. Lucia, recognizing his outstanding contributions and inspiring leadership.
"It is a tremendous honor to be named Teacher of the Year. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues, students, and community”, stated Dr. Jordan Jefferson. “My goal is to continue fostering a love for music and building meaningful relationships that inspire and engage every student."
"We are always proud of the work of Dr. Jefferson and his leadership in our district. Music and Arts are vital components of student learning and engagement, and he ensures that building meaningful relationships with his students and colleagues is a daily priority,” stated Dr. Shawn Johnson, CCSD Superintendent. “I have seen him in action, and I am confident he will represent Clarendon County School District exceptionally well at the state level."
Dr. Jefferson will participate in all upcoming state Teacher of the Year events and will be in the running for the State Teacher of the Year.
