📚CCSD Spring Power Up Beable Contest Winners!👏🏼
We are excited to announce the winners of the Spring Power Up Beable contest:
🎉Avery Sines and Kenna Eason- 5th grade, Mrs. Henderson’s class at Manning Elementary School
🎉Gunnar Tindal - 2nd grade, Mrs. Nexsen’s class at Manning Early Childhood Center
These exceptional students were recognized with certificates and celebrated with photos alongside their teachers and principals.
Beable is an innovative platform utilized by our K-5 students, engaging them with reading material tailored to their lexile (reading) levels and career interests based on pre-assessments. Our district is proud to see our students making significant reading gains using this platform.
We encourage all parents to support their children’s reading development by utilizing Beable at home for at least 20 minutes a day. The link can be found in Classlink on all student devices. Keep up the great work, students! 🌟

Good evening CCSD Families and Staff,
Due to severe weather and hazardous wind conditions expected in our area, Monday, March 16, 2026, will be an eLearning day for all students and staff.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a threat of severe storms between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with possible hail, damaging wind gusts up to 60–75 mph, and isolated tornadoes. The South Carolina Department of Education advises limiting school bus operations when sustained winds exceed 30 miles per hour or when gusts exceed 40 miles per hour, as these conditions can impact the safe operation of school buses.
Important eLearning Information:
• All schools and district offices will be closed
• All activities, including athletic events and field trips, are canceled
• Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom
• Students must complete assignments by 11:59 PM to be marked present for the day
Students who experience power outages, limited internet access, or other barriers will be allowed additional time to complete their assignments.
Clarendon County School District works closely with emergency management and law enforcement officials when making decisions related to inclement weather. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

As we prepare for the start of the week, Clarendon County School District is closely monitoring the weather forecast for Monday, March 16. The safety and well being of our students and staff remains our top priority.
If any changes to arrival or dismissal procedures are necessary, families will be notified through the district’s Thrillshare calls, texts, emails, and social media.
