Middle School students came to the library the week before Thanksgiving to learn about Stop-Motion video, the art of creating a motion picture from still pictures. Students learned about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade by listening to and discussing the book Balloons Over Broadway and then created their own stop-motion video using Google Slides. Parents, ask to see your child's Thanksgiving Parade Stop-Motion Video!

Mrs. Jennifer Hunt's students are working in groups analyzing sample resumes. The objective of this activity was to develop students’ ability to analyze and evaluate résumé components, such as language, organization, and presentation, through collaborative discussions. By working in groups, students critically assessed the strengths and weaknesses of sample résumés, identified effective elements, and decided on the most impactful format. This process fostered critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills, while encouraging students to apply these insights to improve their own résumé-writing practices for real-world professional success.
