Manning, SC- Despite recent media coverage, F.E. DuBose Career Center has and will continue to follow the mandates of the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) on CTE education as they are communicated. Our teachers and programs meet SCDE requirements, and we remain committed to ensuring our students receive the best possible learning experience.
In addition, we continue to stay current with any updates in policies to ensure that all guidelines and processes are upheld with fidelity. Our students and teachers are encouraged to remain focused on learning, growth, and excellence as we provide opportunities that are rigorous, relevant, and responsive to their future goals.
At the request of our students, we plan to turn this into a project for our Media Technology pathway, giving students a hands-on opportunity to engage in real-world communication, media production, and public relations in an ethical and professional manner. This project will ensure they gain valuable skills while helping to share the truth about the great work happening at F.E. DuBose Career Center.
