🌟 A Sweet Week in Montessori!🌟 This week was extra special as we welcomed our newest K3 friends into our Montessori classroom! 💕 We were SO excited to have them join us, and our older students did such a wonderful job making them feel welcome, helping them learn our classroom routines, and showing them the ropes. 🥰 We know that the first few days of school can be just as hard on the parents as they are on the children. Those little hands letting go at drop-off can make it really hard to walk away! ❤️ But seeing these sweet faces settle in, explore, work, and begin to feel comfortable reminds us that they are right where they need to be. In Montessori, our children learn so much more than academics. They are developing independence, concentration, confidence, coordination, problem-solving skills, grace and courtesy, and a love of learning—all at their own pace. 🌱✨ It has been precious watching our new K3 students begin to discover their classroom, choose their work, and become part of our little Montessori family. We are so happy they are here! 💗 Here’s to a wonderful year of growing, learning, exploring, and making memories together! 🍎📚✨

📚 ATTENDANCE MATTERS IN CCSD! ⏰ Every day counts, and every minute of instruction matters! Getting students to school every day and on time is essential to academic success. When students arrive late, they lose valuable seat time, instructional time, and opportunities to learn and engage with their teachers and classmates. Don’t Be Tardy! Be present. Be on time. Be ready to learn. Parents and guardians, we need your partnership in establishing strong attendance habits. Together, we can ensure our students receive every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. 🖤💛💙🩶 CCSD: Every Student. Every Day. Every Minute Matters.

📢 Reminder for Our 4K & 5K Families
As we prepare to welcome our youngest learners, this is a reminder that all 4K and 5K students will begin the school year on a staggered start schedule during the week of August 3, 2026.

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) approved a waiver allowing school districts to implement a staggered start for eligible 4K and 5K students. This provides teachers with dedicated time to administer the required beginning-of-year assessments and ensure every child has a smooth and successful start to school.

❗️Please remember:
• Your child should attend school only on the one day and time they were assigned during the week of August 3.
• Your child's teacher or school administrator should have already contacted you with your assigned attendance date and time.
• Beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, all 4K and 5K students will attend school daily following their regular schedule.

If you have any questions about your child's assigned day or time, please contact your child's school.

To view the SCDE-approved waiver, visit: https://aptg.co/2ypjr9

We can't wait to welcome our youngest learners for an exciting school year in Clarendon County School District!
