Today, the Manning High School family came together to honor Mr. Lee Ernest Wilson’s remarkable legacy. A special balloon release was held following the “last call,” where teachers, staff, and students shared heartfelt reflections of his impact. In a touching tribute, his family was also presented with a portrait of Mr. Wilson to cherish his memory for years to come.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our very own, Mr. Lee Ernest Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was more than a dedicated Monarch—he was a cherished friend, mentor, and a true pillar of Clarendon County School District. For over 40 years, he faithfully served Clarendon County Schools, impacting the lives of countless students, teachers, and families.
His wisdom, kindness, and humble spirit left an imprint on everyone who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed in the halls of Manning High School and at Monarch athletic events, where his support and encouragement were a constant source of strength.

This week, the MHS Counseling Department celebrated National Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week by engaging students in trivia questions about the history of HBCUs. Students were able to win a Chick-fil-A gift card if they were the first person to answer the trivia question correctly. The winners of the trivia questions were London Smith, Camryn Watson, Emily Frankenfield, Tyler Thomas, and Desmond Mellette.
