This letter expresses my deep appreciation for the teachers of Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary. It highlights their hard work, dedication, and the meaningful impact they make on our students every day. As we begin Teacher Appreciation Week, the message serves as a heartfelt reminder that their efforts are seen, valued, and truly make a difference in the lives of our children and our school community.
Next week, we are excited to celebrate our AMAZING teachers at Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary School! 💙💛 Our educators work hard every day to inspire, empower, and support our students—and now it’s our turn to show them just how much they are appreciated!
Here’s how students and families can join the celebration each day:
📅 Monday – Thank a Teacher Campaign
Students will write or create a special thank-you note for a teacher or staff member who has made a difference in their life.
📅 Tuesday – Parent Join the Classroom Day
Parents are invited to stop by, read a story, share something special, or simply support learning in the classroom!
📅 Wednesday – Classroom Games Day
Students and teachers will enjoy fun, team-building games that promote collaboration and positivity.
📅 Thursday – Teachers Got Talent Show
Our talented teachers (and students!) will showcase their hidden talents in a fun and supportive environment. 🎤✨
📅 Friday – Eagle Pride Spirit Day
Wear your blue, yellow, or school gear to show your Eagle Pride and celebrate our incredible staff! 🦅💙💛
Let’s come together as a school community to uplift and celebrate the educators who pour into our children every single day. 💫
#TeacherAppreciationWeek #EaglePride #ThankATeacher #WeLoveOurTeachers

For 3rd graders, the message focuses on confidence and reassurance, reminding them that they are ready for their very first SC Ready test and that their hard work has prepared them well.
For 4th graders, the letter emphasizes growth, encouraging them to build on last year’s experience and show how much they’ve developed academically and personally.
For 5th graders, the message celebrates their leadership and past success, challenging them to finish strong and “finish with a bang” as experienced test takers who know what it takes to excel.
Across all three letters, the themes of pride, effort, and the belief that hard work pays off is the focus and these words of encouragement are intended to help students feel supported, motivated, and ready to shine.

As we prepare for the upcoming SC READY State Assessments, we want to remind everyone just how important attendance and being on time are for our students’ success!
⏰ Being on time matters!
When students arrive late, they may miss important directions, feel rushed, or experience unnecessary stress before testing begins.
📅 Attendance is key!
Each day of testing is important. Being present ensures your child has the opportunity to show what they’ve learned all year long.
💡 Why this matters:
Students perform better when they are calm, prepared, and on time
Make-up testing can be stressful and less ideal
Consistent attendance builds confidence and routine
🏡 How families can help:
✔️ Set a consistent bedtime
✔️ Prepare clothes and materials the night before
✔️ Arrive at school early and ready to go
✔️ Encourage a positive mindset
🦅 Let’s work together to make sure every Eagle is present, on time, and ready to soar!
Eagles Soar High—We Are READY! 💪✨

Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up at the end of after‑school. If no arrangements are made, your child will need to ride the bus home at the end of the regular school day.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
The Goal Post afterschool program is cancelled until further notice.
Thank you,
Mrs. Sonya Fullard
