This year’s program is designed to provide a safe, engaging space where your child can grow through homework support, creative projects, and hands-on learning activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to explore, connect, and shine 🌟.

Dear 5th Grade Families,
We’re excited to announce the kickoff of our much-anticipated 5th grade field trip to Washington, D.C.! This unforgettable adventure is a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore our nation’s capital, connect what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world history, and create lasting memories with their classmates.
We’ll be sharing more details soon about dates, itinerary highlights, costs, fundraising opportunities, and how parents can get involved. For now, please save the date for our Parent Information Night on August 20, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. via google meets, where we’ll go over everything you need to know. QR Codes will be sent home with your students to join the meeting.
We can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey with our amazing 5th graders—and we’re so glad to have your support along the way!

Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary Named National Beta School of Merit
Summerton, SC, August 13, 2025 – Clarendon County School District is proud to announce that Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary School is a 2024-2025 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.
The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. This year 5,930 Beta Clubs across the country received this award.
In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”
