Special thanks to Private First Class Austin Becker, Lance Corporal Blake Baxley, and Conservation Officer Dustin Mendenhall from The SC Department of Natural Resources for providing insight to our Biology I Honors class on the practical application of real-world phenomena for our Ecology Unit of study. Students investigated a possible sighting of an invasive fish species in our school's pond. No worries though, all fish spotted were native to South Carolina!
At Scott's Branch Middle School, Ms. Blanding and Ms. Zeigler's 6th graders concluded their investigations into the cellular world by observing unicellular organisms and cells of multicellular organisms under the microscope. 🔬
September is Suicide Prevention Month. While every day of the year is an opportunity for awareness, this month, we emphasize education and sharing life-saving resources on all issues related to suicide (prevention, intervention, and postvention). Please help us to prevent suicide in CCSD.
