🍂 👑 🐾 WGE will be having a fundraising competition to determine this year's Fall Festival Kings and Queens. Everyone can participate and raise money! 🐾 👑 🍂
Here's how to enter:
• Raise money for WGE by reaching out to your family members, church families, and community. Use the Fall Festival Fundraiser Calendar on the back of this page to keep track of donations.
• Money should be turned in on Tuesday, October 29th (no earlier or later). Only paper currency or checks made payable to WGE will be accepted. All money should be turned in inside of a sealed envelope. Please write your child's name and grade level.
• Kings and queens will be crowned based off of who raises the most in each grade level. There will be grade level winners as well as overall king and queen winners.



WGE's annual Fall Festival will take place during school hours on Thursday, October 31st. We are in need of candy donations. Students will receive 100 House tickets for every bag of candy they donate. If you are willing to donate, please send individually wrapped bags of candy by Friday, October 25th.

WGE students and staff members were placed under a tornado warning this afternoon which was issued by the National Weather Service. Everyone on campus moved quickly into interior hallways to ensure safety during the warning. Please stay safe as the storm passes. We look forward to seeing everyone again Monday morning.

Clarendon County School District is beginning the process of screening students for possible placement in the Gifted and Talented Academic PRIDE Program. We conduct census testing of all 2nd graders .
Students in grades 3 through 5 who are either new to the district or have not been identified through the standard evaluation process may be recommended for screening. The deadline for referrals is September 30, 2024. Referral forms can be obtained from the assistant principal’s office. Please see the attached.
