📚✨ American Education Week Essay Contest Winner! ✨📚 CCSD is excited to announce that Mason Lee Williams has been selected as our American Education Week Student Contest Winner for the Grades 6–12 category! 🎉✍️ This year’s contest, invited students to write a 500-word essay on one of the featured topics - including “What I Would Do if I Were the School Principal.” Mason’s outstanding essay rose above the rest, showcasing his creativity, leadership, and thoughtful perspective. Mason is proudly pictured with Dr. A., Principal of Manning Junior High School, and his ELA teacher, Ms. Ramos, who celebrate this well-deserved achievement alongside him. Congratulations, Mason! How can you make the most of this special month? Here are some ideas:

1. Explore New Genres: Try reading a type of book you don’t normally pick up. You might discover a new favorite!

2. Learn Something New: Challenge yourself by reading a book on a topic you may not know much about. Expand your horizons!

3. Share the Joy of Reading: Buy a new book for a child or borrow one from your local library.

🚒🔥 CCSD Award-winning Parents as Teachers: Learning in Action! 🔥🚒 Some of our parents and children visited the Clarendon County Fire Department today, and it was such a great experience for everyone! Families had the chance to learn firsthand about the strategies, duties, and training that are essential to being a firefighter.
