Mr. Villalobos and Mrs. Romero's Spanish project consisted of researching important cultural information about Hispanic countries around the world. This allowed the students to connect with other subjects such as geography and English to complete the project. They learned a lot about the countries' locations, continents, capitals, etc., and also applied English grammar to avoid spelling mistakes. They also thoroughly enjoyed the oral presentation, which allowed them to practice their public speaking skills.

Ms. Deon Jones' English III Honors students have incorporated theatre and music as they performed a debate scene where Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton make arguments regarding how the new America should be governed. They were challenged with writing a script for their skit, using props and costumes, using the classroom keyboard to create sound effects to reflect the tone of the debate, and theme songs that represent each candidate. This enrichment activity was done after students read and analyzed multiple texts from the "Building a Democracy" unit, in addition to their research. This STEAM approach to learning will help them make sound arguments in their upcoming argumentative essay assignment.
