Students in Mrs. Carly’s Civics class are learning the geography of the U.S. by exploring how the U.S. obtained all of its territory. Today, students learned about the Louisiana Purchase and the Lewis & Clark expedition. They went outside and found things that were similar to the discoveries of Lewis & Clark. They then wrote letters to President Jefferson explaining their discoveries & documented their findings on their postcards.

As we continue celebrating Attendance Awareness Month, some of our students shared why school is special to them—reminding us that every day counts toward learning and growing together. #ILikeSchoolBecause #AttendanceMatters #CCSDExcellence #UnifiedAsOne
