East Clarendon Middle and High School’s Junior and Senior Beta Clubs have both been awarded School of Distinction Honors. In order to be a School of Distinction, a school must demonstrate the commitment to academic achievement by an increase in student membership. In addition to being a School of Distinction, ECMS’s Junior Beta Club is also a School of Merit. This award is given to schools that have members represented from each grade level present at the school level. We are extremely proud of all of our members and sponsors.

These engaging speakers came to get our students fired up about literacy! During the presentation, they interacted with students as they spoke about literacy, football, and success.

Mrs. Brianna’s English 3 class learned about the development of Jamestown. Before reading, they discussed the impact that propaganda had on the overall view of Native Americans. They read “John Smith General History of Virginia” & discussed the power of the words John Smith used to depict the Natives at the time.
