We are proud to recognize our students who achieved a perfect score of 100 on their Fall End-of-Course exams. These outstanding students were honored at the Clarendon County Board meeting on May 5, 2025. Congratulations to each of them on this impressive accomplishment! A heartfelt thank you to their dedicated teachers—Carly Coleman, Ashley Coker, and Anna Floyd—for delivering high-quality instruction and helping them succeed.

Congratulations to Maryann Powell, Carson Welsh, Preston Hammett, and Christian Stermock on being named South Carolina Junior Scholars. These students were recognized at the Clarendon County Board meeting on May 5, 2025. Junior Scholars scored a 550 or higher on the reading and writing portion or a 530 or higher on the mathematics portion of the PSAT in the eighth grade. This program is designed to identify students with exceptional academic talent and provide exposure for them through invitational programming and summer opportunities at participating colleges and universities. East Clarendon Middle High School is exceptionally proud of these four students.


Congrats to the Varsity Soccer Team on their 1st round playoff game win.


Starting Monday off by celebrating our "Nacho Average Teachers and Staff"! We are very thankful for what each of them do on a daily basis. Each teacher and staff member plays an important role here at EC.











We continued to celebrate "Nacho Average Teachers and Staff" with a nacho bar and Photo Booth.











Congratulations to Laiklyn Gaskins on being selected as the Region VII-AA Pitcher of the Year by the region softball coaches. Laiklyn currently has a record of 10 wins and 3 losses with an earned run average of 2.68. She has thrown 73 innings with 75 strikeouts and opponents are only hitting .182 against her.


Congratulations to Bailey Hicks on being selected as the Region VII-AA Player of the Year by the region softball coaches. Bailey is currently hitting .457 with 32 hits, 26 runs batted in and 39 runs scored. She has 32 stolen bases and has only struck out 4 times.


Congratulations to our Varsity Baseball Team on making the playoffs. They will host Woodland on Tuesday at home at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $8. SC High School League passes are the only passes accepted.


Congratulations to our varsity soccer team on making the AA playoffs. They will travel to Timberland on Monday, May 5th for a 6:00 pm contest. Tickets will be $8. The only passes allowed are SC High School League passes.


Congratulations to our varsity softball team on winning the Region VII-AA Championship. They will open the AA Softball playoffs at home on Wednesday vs Andrew Jackson at 6:30 PM. Tickets will be $8. The only passes allowed are SC High School League passes.


Our administration team gathered our middle school students and had a "Pep Talk" regarding state testing starting Monday.
Make sure your students get a good night's sleep, arrive to school on time (arrive by 7:50 AM), eat breakfast, encourage your child to listen carefully to the instructions given, and stay focused on the test!




REMINDER EC student athletes!
All athletes (rising 7-12 grade) are encouraged to come get their physicals done at EC on May 5th, 2025 from 4:30-7:30pm. Cost is $10 per athlete.
Per SCHSL, athletes must have a physical dated after April 1st, 2025 in order to participate in any sport during the 2025-26 school year, including summer practices/workouts. Please make sure to have your physical packet completely filled out and signed by a parent/guardian before arriving(sign front and back of each page).
Official physical packets can be picked up from the front office.

State Assessments start tomorrow. Students and staff have worked diligently all year. Students have learned so much—now it's their time to shine!


On behalf of Wolverines for Christ FCA, we would love to invite EVERYONE to East Clarendon's Class of 2025 Baccalaureate Service. This will be held Sunday, May 18 @ 6:00 in the EC Gym. At the end of our service, our graduates will be presented with crosses. Please plan to come and help us celebrate these soon-to-be grownups! PLEASE share this flier with everyone you know. Feel free to include it in the Sunday morning announcements, bulletin, etc. We'd love for churches and youth groups to join us!
