We cannot thank you enough for everything you do to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for our staff, students, parents, and community. Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond do not go unnoticed. You are truly appreciated, and we are grateful for all that you do each and every day. 🍂🌻 A Little Scarecrow Fun in the Garden! 🌻🍂
Today Mrs. Joyner and Mrs. Montgomery's class headed out to our garden for a fun fall lesson all about scarecrows! 🎃👩🌾
We learned how scarecrows help protect our garden by keeping hungry critters from eating our plants. After listening to a fun story about scarecrows, the children got to put their learning into action! 📚🌱
The kids had so much fun dressing our scarecrow and even hung a bar of soap on him to help keep those garden visitors away! 👕🧼👒
Of course, we couldn’t visit our garden without checking on our carrots that we planted. 🥕 We also took some time to stop and admire the beautiful butterflies fluttering around our garden. 🦋
So much learning, exploring, and hands-on fun happening right outside our classroom! ❤️🌱
Our garden is growing—and so are we! 🌻🥕🦋

ClarendonCSD families, there will be NO SCHOOL Tuesday, October 6-Friday, October 9 for Intersession.
🏫 Students will return to school on Monday, October 12.

🌱🥕 Our First Garden Visit of the School Year! 🥕🌱
We were so excited to make our first visit to the MECC Garden this school year! The children were thrilled to be back in the garden and ready to explore, learn, and get their hands in the soil. 💚
Today was all about carrots! 🥕 Mrs. Bitsy and Mrs. Katie read some wonderful books about carrots, helping us learn more about how they grow. Then, Mrs. Land showed us how to plant carrot seeds, and our little gardeners got to plant their very own seeds in the garden! 🌱
What a wonderful way to begin another year of learning in the garden! We can’t wait to watch our carrots grow and see what other adventures await us at MECC Garden! 🥕🌿☀️

🌿 Celebrating Grandparents Day in Primary Montessori! 🌿
Our Ms. Casey & Mrs. Woods’ Primary Montessori Class had a wonderful time welcoming grandparents into our classroom! ❤️
The morning began with breakfast, conversation, and plenty of special moments shared between our students and their beloved grandparents. 🥰
The children were thrilled to give their grandparents a tour of the classroom and introduce them to some of the Montessori activities they enjoy. It was heartwarming to see their excitement as they proudly shared what they have been learning! 📚✨
We also shared simple ways to support Montessori principles at home, including fostering independence, confidence, responsibility, and curiosity. 🌱
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so memorable. We truly appreciate the love, encouragement, and support you show our students every day! 💕👵🏼👴🏼

💚 Grandparents Day in Primary Montessori! 💚
What a special morning we had celebrating some of the most important people in our children’s lives! 🥰 Today, Mrs. Joyner & Mrs. Montgomery’s Primary Montessori Class welcomed our wonderful grandparents for a morning full of love, laughter, and learning.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast together, spent time visiting and getting to know one another, and, of course, our children were so proud to show their grandparents some of their favorite Montessori lessons! 📚✨ There is something so sweet about watching a child light up as they proudly share what they have been learning.
We also had the opportunity to share with grandparents some simple strategies they can use at home to encourage independence, responsibility, and a love of learning—the Montessori way! 🌱
Thank you to all of our grandparents for taking the time to join us and make this morning so special. We are so thankful for the love, wisdom, and support you pour into your grandchildren every day.
