🎉Our team enjoying the 2024 District Convocation!

🚍✨ Attention, Clarendon County Community! ✨🚍 With school starting next week, Mr. John Hilton, our CCSD Director of Transportation, wants to ensure the safety of all students. Please take a moment to refresh your memory on when to stop for a school bus: 🛑 Two-Lane Road: Drivers traveling in BOTH directions must stop for a school bus with its red lights flashing, even if there is a paved, raised, or grassy median. 🛑 Four or More Lanes: Only drivers traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop. Traffic on the opposite side should proceed with caution. Let's do everything we can to ensure a safe school year! 🚸📚 #CCSDTransportation #SchoolBusSafety #BackToSchool #SafeSchoolYear

📢 Important Announcement for Clarendon County School District Parents and Guardians!
We are excited to share that the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) has approved a "Staggered Start" schedule for all 4K and 5K students in the Clarendon County School District (CCSD) for the 2024-2025 academic school year.
The "Staggered Start" aims to provide our dedicated teachers the opportunity to administer all beginning-of-the-year (BOY) assessments to our youngest learners before the start of instruction. This ensures a smooth and effective start to the school year for everyone.
🗓Key Dates to Remember:
- The week of August 5, 2024: Building-level principals will communicate with parents/guardians to schedule a time for your 4K and/or 5K student(s) to come into the buildings for their BOY assessments.
- August 12, 2024: All 4K and 5K students will begin school regularly.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!

Our MHS Graduates came this morning to "walk the halls." Great memories for all!

Mrs. Jones' & Mrs. McCabe's class started their gourd birdhouses with a seed and help from Mrs. Marie Land and her team. Once they were ready to harvest, they dried them out, had the "bluebird hole" drilled, and eventually were able to design their own birdhouse and create it. Well done! 👏🏼
