Students, staff, board members, and families helped us celebrate Black History Month today. Spelman College Alum and Lakeview native, Dr.
Anna Johnson, spoke on her journey and provided our students with 5 takeaways.
👂Mind the company you keep. Everyone is not your friend.
👂Choose your hard. Do what others won’t do now so you can do what others can't do later.
👂Listen to someone.
👂Find a mentor
👂It’s not about where you start, but how you finish. It will be worth it.
The program entertainment included Sumter's Lamira Elementary School drum line, who showed up and showed out, and tunes from our phenomenal Monarch Music Department.
