We encourage our students to continue reading over the break and participate in brain break exercises, including stretches 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏽, physical activity 🚴🏼‍♀️, and journaling📔. Intersession begins on Wednesday, 10/4. Students return on Monday, 10/9.

The Golden Pride had a wonderful weekend! They supported Scott’s Branch at their away game, and helped Lee Central High School celebrate their Homecoming! Thank you to the Lee Central and their band director Joshua Jefferson for providing our students with dinner and a wonderful family-like atmosphere! The Golden Pride performed several pieces together with the Lee Central Marching Stallion band!

Awesome night for the Monarch’s! The Golden Pride traveled to Charlotte, NC to the 16th Annual Philip O. Berry Spirit of the Cardinal Band Competition and performed in class 2A. They received: 1st Place Drum Majors in class 2A 2nd Place Drum Line in class 2A 3rd Place Dance Line in class 2A 3rd Place Color Guard in class 2A 2nd Place General Effect in class 2A 2nd Place Marching in class 2A 2nd Place Music in class 2A 2nd Place Overall in class 2A The Golden Pride traveled to NC and performed well! Our very proud band director Jordan Jefferson says Special thanks to Tearea Scott, Assistant Director of Bands, Jonathan Roberson, Percussion Instructor, and Justin Thompson, Percussion Instructor/ Announcer! Congratulations to the Golden Pride! Out of 16 Marching Bands, regardless of Class and size, MHS Golden Pride was chosen to be 3rd Place Band of the Day!
