Today was pajama day. Students also enjoyed popcorn, hot chocolate and a movie this afternoon.
Next week we will continue our countdown to winter break. Monday is "Jingle Toes" day. Make sure to wear your favorite pair of holiday socks.

We are counting down the days until winter break. Yesterday it was "Candy Cane Day" and we wore red, white and holiday colors.










Today we wore our favorite flannel or plaid.

Ms. Davis, our librarian, challenged students to participate in USC's "Read with the Gamecocks" challenge. Students were tasked to read at home daily for two weeks (November 13-26). The goal was for students to read a minimum total of 280 minutes total. Ms. Davis would like to thank Raet James and Ayden Weeks for participating in the challenge and exceeding the reading goal! ✨ Raet read a total of 440 minutes and Ayden read a total of 571 minutes during the two week challenge. ✨ Congratulations, Raet and Ayden! 🎉


We thanked our Veterans during a celebration with Mr. Micheal Haynes as our guest speaker. We also had Ms. Kimberly Johnson, Mr. Dorch, Deputy Johanna Johnson, Mr. Arthur Moyd, and a few other Veterans who shared their experiences in their Military forces.
Mariah Patterson, our student, read a letter thanking our Veterans. We appreciate your dedication to our country!

Our Food drive was very competitive as each class collected for our community. 🏆







MPS collected canned food and non-perishable items November 6th - 16th. Students learned about the importance of helping others in need. Classes also competed to bring in the most items. Our students and staff collected a total of 775 items. We would like to thank everyone for their generosity and compassion to help others in need. Mrs. Holcombe's class brought in the most items with a total of 175. 🎉 Congratulations to Mrs. Holcombe's class!




🎉 MPS would like to congratulate Raet James and Tyler Junious for completing the MPS Drink Water Campaign! 🎉 Raet and Tyler drank 50 8 oz cups of water. The Drink Water Campaign will continue until December 8th.



Our third graders participated in the Multiplication Math Bowl. We are so proud of all our students for trying their best and showing good sportsmanship during and after each round. Students, please continue to practice your math facts every day!

Mrs. Holcombe's students won three awards in one day! Raet James won the girl's Drinking Water contest, the class won the Multiplication Math bowl, and also the Food drive by donating 185+ non-perishable food items for the community. Way to go Team!!
