📚 ATTENDANCE MATTERS IN CCSD! ⏰ Every day counts, and every minute of instruction matters! Getting students to school every day and on time is essential to academic success. When students arrive late, they lose valuable seat time, instructional time, and opportunities to learn and engage with their teachers and classmates. Don’t Be Tardy! Be present. Be on time. Be ready to learn. Parents and guardians, we need your partnership in establishing strong attendance habits. Together, we can ensure our students receive every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. 🖤💛💙🩶 CCSD: Every Student. Every Day. Every Minute Matters.

🚌 Important Transportation Reminder!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

To ensure all our students get home safely and smoothly, please call the main office before 1:30 PM if you need to change your child’s mode of transportation for the day.

Due to the high volume of activity in the front office during afternoon dismissal, receiving changes before 1:30 PM gives our staff enough time to notify teachers and students properly.

Thank you so much for your cooperation and support! 😊

📢 Reminder for Our 4K & 5K Families
As we prepare to welcome our youngest learners, this is a reminder that all 4K and 5K students will begin the school year on a staggered start schedule during the week of August 3, 2026.

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) approved a waiver allowing school districts to implement a staggered start for eligible 4K and 5K students. This provides teachers with dedicated time to administer the required beginning-of-year assessments and ensure every child has a smooth and successful start to school.

❗️Please remember:
• Your child should attend school only on the one day and time they were assigned during the week of August 3.
• Your child's teacher or school administrator should have already contacted you with your assigned attendance date and time.
• Beginning Monday, August 10, 2026, all 4K and 5K students will attend school daily following their regular schedule.

If you have any questions about your child's assigned day or time, please contact your child's school.

To view the SCDE-approved waiver, visit: https://aptg.co/2ypjr9

🚌 Back to School Bus Safety Reminder! 🚌 As we begin the new school year, we want to remind all CCSD families of the rules that govern every school bus in the Clarendon County School District. These expectations are in place to help ensure a safe, respectful, and positive ride for every student and our dedicated bus drivers. Please take a few moments to review these bus rules with your child before the first day of school. Working together, we can create an environment where every student arrives at school safely and ready to learn. 📱 Cell Phone Reminder: Students may use cell phones while riding the bus; however, phone calls are not permitted, and audio must remain at a low volume to avoid disrupting the driver or other students. Upon arriving on campus, all cell phones must be powered off and placed in the campus cell phone storage box until the end of the school day. Thank you for partnering with us to make student safety our top priority. Here’s to a safe, successful, and amazing school year! 💙💛 Safe Rides. Respectful Behavior. Success Together. #ClarendonCSD #UnifiedAsOne #BusSafety #BackToSchool #StudentSafety #CCSDStrong

📚 Attendance Matters… Every Scholar, Every Day! 🍎 At Clarendon County School District, we know that showing up is the first step toward success. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity for our scholars to learn, grow, and achieve. Parents and guardians, please take a moment to review our 2026-2027 Attendance Guidelines to better understand excused and unexcused absences, attendance requirements, parent note limits, and how attendance impacts student success. ✅ Remember: 🍎 Students are required to attend at least 170 of the 180 school days. 📝 Parent notes must be submitted within 3 days of a student’s return to school. 📅 Family vacations and appointments should be scheduled during school breaks whenever possible. 🎓 Good attendance leads to stronger academic performance, meaningful relationships, and greater opportunities for success. Together, let’s make attendance a priority and ensure Every Scholar. Every Day. #AttendanceMatters #EveryScholarEveryDay #UnifiedAsOne #CCSDExcellence #ClarendonCSD #AttendTodayAchieveTomorrow
