Dear Parents and Guardians,I hope this message finds you well. At Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary, the safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. Starting Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, we will be implementing a new metal detector security system to enhance the security of our school. This system will be installed at the front entrance and main hallway to screen all individuals entering the school premises. The metal detector is designed to detect any prohibited items while allowing for a smooth and efficient entry process. As part of these measures, please be prepared to show your driver’s license when picking up your child. If someone else from your pickup list is getting your child, they will also need to present their driver’s license. Additionally, anyone visiting your child’s classroom during school hours must have their driver’s license. These steps are being put in place to ensure a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our school office. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our students safe
