Dr. Rose H. Wilder students are celebrating Homecoming Spirit Week. Today was Barbecue Dads vs. Soccer Moms.

Here are our School Improvement Council Members for 2023-2024 school year! Please also view dates of our SIC meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XzsIezEboMTvrxyn3D-o1S_bkJf3CqkQp_0AuBRg7Cg/edit?usp=sharing

Our kindergarteners and 1st graders really enjoyed themselves on their first field trip of the school year. They explored Bee City Zoo & Honey Bee Farm. Some of our students and teachers were brave enough to hold some of the animals.

Next week we’re celebrating Scott’s Branch homecoming and honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

This is an election to choose two parent representatives to the DRWE School Improvement Council (SIC). The SIC is an advisory council to the principal that is focused on school improvement. It is made up of parent, teacher, and community representatives. The principal serves as an ex-officio member. Use the link and choose two of the candidates. https://forms.gle/xog64n6ukbRpcEt3A

Here are the nominees for the School Improvement Council (SIC) parent representatives. The two representatives that received the most votes will become our elected SIC parent representatives for DRWES. The election will be open October 11th from 7am-7pm. If there are any questions or concerns, reach out to Mrs. Washington.

Walk to School Day was created in order to raise awareness of the importance of improved, safer and more accessible streets, less traffic, and reduced air pollution in communities across the USA. It also aims to promote healthier habits and active lifestyle from an early age. Check out a few pictures of how DRWES participated in Walk to School Day!

Muffin for Moms Event at DRWES continued.
