Our Summerton area schools were all smiles this week thanks to SAFE Federal Credit Union, who sponsored Rise & Refresh and treated our staff to coffee from Roast N’ Roll Coffee!

On Friday, January 30, 2026, our Scott's Branch Eagles were able to participate in two career driven field trips:
Our eighth grade students had the opportunity to attend the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Fest, a career-focused event designed to introduce students to natural resource and STEM-related careers.
During the event, students learned about fields such as wildlife biology, environmental science, law enforcement, GIS, and engineering. They were able to interact with professionals, participate in hands-on activities, and gain a better understanding of the important services SCDNR provides to our state.
Our students truly enjoyed the experience and are already looking forward to next year’s event!
Our Juniors, along with Manning High School, had the opportunity to participate in this year’s Francis Marion University STEM Day! Students explored each area of STEM through engaging interactive sessions, walk-in displays, hands-on college labs, and more.
They also learned about the wide range of academic programs FMU offers and gained insight into potential college admission opportunities. We are already looking forward to next year’s event and are excited to continue supporting our students as they explore these growing and in-demand career fields.
We appreciate partnering with our state agencies to provide our students with these great opportunities to learn more about careers and future goals, Go EAGLES! 🦅

What an eventful and memorable night it was—full of engagement, fellowship, great food, and school spirit! Our parents and families had the opportunity to join our squad for a special Family Performance during halftime, making the evening even more meaningful.
