Benchmark Assessments will be administered on Tuesday, December 16th and Wednesday, December 17th.
The ASVAB test will be administered on Wednesday, December 17th for Scott's Branch juniors and seniors who need to take it. Students must score a 31 to earn their CCR credit. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 AM in the SBMHS band room.
All students need to bring their school-issued device to school fully charged.

Mrs. Reid’s English 1 class wrapped up their debate finals in the media center this week. Students took on the question of whether schools should remove homework, developing thoughtful points through research and preparation.

We’re just one week away from the holiday break! To celebrate our final week together before we dismiss for the holidays, we invite everyone to join us in this year’s Holiday Spirit Week.
Please see the attached flyer for each day’s theme. The PR Team will be around next week capturing photos, so join in the fun and help us make this Spirit Week a festive kickoff to a well-deserved break! Students, you might even earn some Eagle Bucks!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
This Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, we're offering SAT/ACT support for SBHS Seniors. Students will meet in Mrs. Garth's classroom. Students will need to bring their device fully charged. Please encourage students to bring any questions they have about testing or college applications as well. We look forward to seeing our seniors on Saturday, December 13th!
What’s provided:
- Focused SAT/ACT practice and strategies
- Snacks for all participants
- Optional help with college applications and signing up for the SAT/ACT (upon request)

Come out and support our Eagle Basketball team as they take on Crestwood High School. During each game’s halftime, stop by to mingle, enjoy free hot chocolate, and receive important Title I school information.
Every participating parent will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Christmas prize and earn an Eagle Buck for their student!

On behalf of the entire Scott’s Branch Middle High School family, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on your new position. While we are incredibly proud of this well-deserved accomplishment, we will truly miss your presence, guidance, and unwavering compassion in our district.
Over the past several years, you have poured your heart into our students, families, and staff. Your dedication has gone far beyond the responsibilities of a school counselor—you have been a mentor, an advocate, a motivator, and a constant source of support. Your ability to listen with patience, lead with kindness, and inspire with purpose has made a lasting impact on every life you’ve touched.
You created a safe space for students to dream, plan, and grow, and you guided them through some of their most important decisions. You uplifted them during challenging moments and celebrated them during their triumphs. For that, and for so much more, we are deeply grateful.
As you move into this next chapter of your career, please know that your SBMH family is cheering you on. This week, our Scott’s Branch cheerleaders had the exciting opportunity to host their annual Cheer Camp! Mini cheerleaders from Rose H. Wilder Elementary School signed up to participate in a week-long interactive camp where they learned signature cheers, flips, battle cheering, and essential cheerleading skills.
🎉 Congratulations to our cheerleaders for organizing such a wonderful camp, and an even bigger congratulations to our mini cheerleaders for an amazing week of growth, learning, and spirit!
📣 Come out tonight and support them as they perform during halftime at our basketball game against the Manning Monarchs.

The Phi Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 💚💗 presents their Essay Writing Workshop on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This workshop is open to ALL juniors and seniors in the district and will assist with the development of scholarship essays and admission essays to college.
