✨💐 A Groovy Thank You! 💐✨ Walker Gamble Elementary would like to thank all of the wonderful grandparents and grandfriends who joined us for our Groovy Grandfriends Visit! 💕 It was such a joy to see the smiles, hugs, and special memories being made as you walked your students to class and captured sweet photos together. Interim reports were sent home today with students. Please review, sign, and return the report. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress, please contact their teacher.

Are you tired of waiting in lengthy pick-up lines? Here is your chance to skip the line from October 13th until December 19th. Fundraiser tickets will be sold for $10 each and the drawing will be held on October 6th. Your student will bring a flyer home today!

Mrs. Cindy's 3rd grade Gifted and Talented students constructed a toothpick house that could hold at least 20g of mass and withstand wind from a fan. To deepen their understanding with real-world application, they discussed what builders should consider when constructing a house in an area prone to hurricanes or tornadoes. 🌀 🌪️ 🏠

There is no school on Monday, September 1st due to Labor Day.

WGE invites grandfriends to visit the school, take pictures, and walk students to class on Thursday, September 4th and Friday, September 5th from 7:15 until 7:55 AM. Grandfriends of students in PreK, K5, 1st grade, Ms. Kat's class, and Ms. Adrianna's class will visit on Thursday. If there is an older sibling, please visit their class on Thursday. Grandfriends of 2nd through 5th graders will visit on Friday.

Don’t forget – Thursday, September 5th is the last day to turn in money and forms for the Walker Gamble Elementary Sculpture Project. Your student's handprint could be a tangible piece of WGE history!

Today, we celebrated our first WGE House Day of the year and recognized our August Leaders of the Pack! These students were selected for showing outstanding RESPECT, which is our character word for the month of August. Congratulations, Wolverines! 🐾 💚🩵🧡💛🐾

If your student is dropped off at 7:55 AM or later, please walk your child into the front office. Students are tardy at this point and cannot be dropped off in the parking lot. An adult must accompany them into the school building.

Friday, August 22nd is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 AM.
