ECMHS Students Attend Educational Opportunity Day
East Clarendon Middle High School students had the privilege of participating in Educational Opportunity Day on Wednesday, an exciting event designed to connect students with representatives from colleges and universities across the Southeast.
Students had the opportunity to learn more about higher education options, explore various academic and career pathways, and begin considering the many possibilities available to them beyond high school.
We extend our appreciation to South Carolina CACRAO and the ECMHS Counseling Department for organizing and hosting this valuable event.
We are proud to provide our students with opportunities to explore, connect, and discover their potential beyond high school!
🏐🏈 IT’S GAME DAY! 🐺💙
Tonight our Wolverines are headed to Manning to take on the Manning Monarchs! 👑
Come out and help us cheer on our Wolverines! Let’s pack the stands, bring the energy, and show our team some love! 📣💙
LET’S GO, WOLVERINES! 🐺🔥
Our library would like to thank the following donors who supplied desk bikes for our Read & Ride program: The Citizens Bank, FTC, 4 C Construction, and Mrs. Laura Fleming. Special thanks to Officer Jonathan Coker for seeking out and securing the donations and Mr. James Conyers for patiently assembling each bike. Our Read & Ride program is going strong at EC, thanks to your generosity! We know we have energetic learners and sometimes sitting still to read can be challenging. Being able to “read and ride” helps our students focus on reading and relax while pedaling. If you would like to help purchase a bicycle desk, please contact Mrs. Season Johnson. season.johnson@clarendoncsd.org

Dear East Clarendon Students and Parents,
Homecoming is a time for celebration, pride, and school spirit at East Clarendon Middle High School! We want everyone to enjoy this exciting week in a safe and positive way.
Please remember that entering school buildings or property without a school employee present is not allowed at any time. Additionally, toilet papering, graffiti, unlawfully entering the school to decorate, and other pranks involving school property are strictly prohibited. These actions are considered trespassing and/or vandalism. This type of behavior will have serious consequences, including the possibility of recommendation for expulsion and legal charges.
East Clarendon Middle High School does not condone any type of prank activity, including toilet papering or graffiti, within the community. Some community members have been upset by incidents that occurred during previous year homecoming weeks and this past week. The school is committed to ensuring that students respect others and their property.
When someone enters private property, it is considered trespassing and can also be very dangerous. Property owners have the right to press charges on trespassers or vandals. The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Department has also issued a statement regarding Homecoming Events.
Let’s keep our homecoming week focused on Wolverine pride, spirit, and respect for our school and community.
Sincerely,
Laura Fleming, Principal

Just a reminder about tonight's game in Manning. We also have a very limited quantity of tickets remaining for $10.00!
In an effort to make Friday's game enjoyable for all attendees, the following will help with traffic flow in and out of the game for East Clarendon's fans in particular:
Fans coming to the game via I-95:
1. Make a left from the 119 Exit towards the Chick-Fil-A
2. Go through the light and continue until you come upon the FTC building (just past the SAFE Bank on your left)
3. Make an immediate right turn at the FTC building (will see a sign which reads "Dead End") and continue until the Manning Junior High School (MJHS) is on your right.
4. Make a left turn (this will be the only road on your left after passing the opened gates in front of MJHS).
5. Follow this road until you are greeted by a staff member and/or police officer.
Fans coming to the game via Highway 301 through Downtown Manning:
1. Continue from downtown until reaching the light in front of Walmart (right) and Manning High School (left).
2. Continue through the light and past Manning High School (MHS).
3. Upon passing the Auto Zone (right) you will make the next left turn in front of the FTC building and continue until the Manning Junior High School (MJHS) is on your right.
4. Make a left turn (this will be the only road on your left after passing the opened gates in front of MJHS).
5. Follow this road until you are greeted by a staff member and/or police officer.
Please note, EC fans will have priority parking on the Softball field until full. Once the field is full, fans will have a parking option at MJHS and walk to the entrance gate. Lastly, fans will possibly have parking at the MHS tennis court parking (this usually fills up quickly). If these options are exhausted, fans may have to park in the Walmart parking lot and walk over.

💚 Creating Space for Conversations That Matter
Today at ECMHS, students took part in an important conversation during Suicide Prevention Month with guest speaker Ms. Ashley Walker, mental health advocate and founder of My F.A.D.
Students were engaged throughout the presentation and had the opportunity to learn more about mental health, recognizing the importance of support, and available resources.
A special thank-you to our Social Work Team for being present and supporting this important conversation, and to Ms. Morgan Keefe for spearheading this meaningful event.
Together, we’re helping our students know that they are seen, supported, and never alone. 💚
