Mrs. Sims and her science class have been hard at work this week transforming our middle school courtyard! 🌱🌼
Students kicked things off by starting the flower beds and garden spaces, planting a variety of seeds and young plants. Along the way, they also got hands-on experience using different gardening tools, learning valuable skills while connecting with nature.
We can’t wait to watch everything grow—great job, everyone! 🌿✨

East Clarendon Middle and High School would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the amazing guests who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in our Career Day.
Your willingness to share your knowledge, experiences, and career journeys with our students made a meaningful impact. By speaking with our students, answering their questions, and providing insight into your professions, you helped open their eyes to the many opportunities that await them in the future.
We are incredibly grateful for your time, support, and commitment to helping inspire the next generation. Our students truly benefited from learning about the skills, education, and dedication required in your fields.
Thank you to Alicia McFadden and Krystal Pauling for planning this excellent Career Day at East Clarendon Middle and High School.

What an incredible day for our business and engineering career-minded students!
Our group had the opportunity to tour Coker University and get a glimpse of campus life, exploring its wide range of academic programs, internship opportunities, and the benefits of small class sizes. They then had the unique opportunity to attend the 2026 Sonoco Annual Shareholders Meeting.
During the meeting, students observed how shareholder meetings work and even saw how individuals are sometimes paid to speak in an effort to influence voting decisions. They were able to witness the real-world side of business, corporate governance, and decision-making in action.
The experience didn’t stop there! Students had the chance to speak directly with shareholders and corporate executives, asking questions and gaining valuable insight into leadership, business strategy, and career paths.
To top off a great day, everyone enjoyed lunch together at Mr. B’s! 🍔🥤
Experiences like this help connect classroom learning to the real world and inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. We are so proud of these students and the way they represented our school!

6th grade weather experiments! Students completed the project at home and could bring it in to present to the class. Students even had the option of bringing in a family member to help them present. We had a great time testing / observing their hard work. Pictured you will see some of our amazing projects and some older wolverines who joined their siblings to support their experiment!
(Not all projects pictured) but all students did a great job!
