Mrs. Season Johnson’s Media Literacy classes have been exploring the beauty, attributes, history, and significance of our nation’s National Park System!

Working in groups, students researched various aspects of a National Park and then presented their findings to their classmates. This engaging project provided students with an opportunity to put their learning into action while developing important real-world skills, including:

📚 Literacy & Research Skills – finding, evaluating, and communicating information
🎤 Public Speaking – presenting information with confidence and clarity
🤝 Collaboration – working effectively as a team
⏰ Time Management – planning and meeting project deadlines
🎨 Creativity – finding engaging ways to share their learning

We are proud of the way our students are researching, creating, collaborating, and communicating! These are the skills that prepare students not only for success in the classroom, but also for life beyond school.

🔬🧫 Science in Action! Mrs. Hannah Wilder’s 6th grade science students used microscopes to conduct investigations and gather evidence that all living things are made of cells! Students examined a variety of samples and specimens while discovering that cells come in many different shapes and have many different functions. Through hands-on investigation, students learned that if something is alive, almost every part of it is made up of cells! 🧬🔍 We love seeing our scientists learning through exploration and discovery! 🧪✨

🎉 Celebrating Our ECMHS Educators! 🎉 ECMHS is proud to celebrate Season Johnson, Charlotte Driggers, and Sheri Sims as recipients of Teacher Grants from the Bravo Education Foundation of Clarendon County! 📚✨ These grants provide valuable opportunities for our educators to bring innovative ideas and meaningful learning experiences to their students. *Students should not remain on campus after the school day ends while waiting for an after-school activity to begin.

🧠🔬 **Anatomy in Action!** As an introduction to Human Anatomy in Biology 2, Mrs. Kelly’s students put their knowledge to the test as they attempted to identify and label organs, bones, and different parts of the human body! 🫀🦴👀 What a fun way to kick off their journey into the amazing human body! 🧬✨

📚✨ **Learning Through Collaboration!** ✨📚 Mrs. Krystina and Mrs. Lachelle’s **7th grade ELA students** were putting their skills to the test through an engaging **Escape Room** as they wrapped up their study of *“Rikki-Tikki-Tavi”*! Students also participated in a **Gallery Walk** to deepen their understanding of **coordinate adjectives** while working together, discussing ideas, and applying what they’ve learned. We love seeing our students learning, collaborating, and having fun while building their ELA skills!
