Mrs. Spann’s Health Science students recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a field trip to McLeod Health! One of the highlights was hearing from Hannah Green, a former F.E. DuBose Career Center student, who now works at McLeod! 💙💛
Hannah shared her journey with our students and talked about how F.E. DuBose prepared her tremendously for her career and helped give her the foundation she needed to succeed.
There’s something special about seeing a former student turn classroom experiences into a career, and then come back around to encourage the students following in her footsteps! 🩺👏

Our Cosmetology students, under the guidance of Ms. McLeod, had the opportunity to put their skills to work by providing cosmetology services. 🖤💛💙🩶
These hands-on experiences allow our students to build confidence, strengthen their techniques, and showcase the skills they’re developing in the classroom.

Our Media Technology students in Mrs. Wallace's class were excited to welcome Ms. Ivy Coburn, member of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) SC AI Pilot Team and Division Director for Education and Workforce, and Mr. Charles Roulhac, UF Project Manager!
During their visit, our students talked about their experiences in class, shared what they’ve been learning, and provided valuable feedback about the program. 💻🗣️
And they didn’t just talk about it, they showed it! Students presented their AI Agriculture Project, highlighting how they’re using AI concepts to tackle real-world challenges in agriculture. 🌱🤖
