Our students had a wonderful last day of school before Spring Break. They had English Tea Parties and Easter Egg Hunts and helped our social work team put out the pinwheels for National Child Abuse Prevention Month. It was a busy day before a restful week.

Two of our MHS FFA graduates came back to Mrs. Land's MECC Garden class to teach our students about worms and pre-harvested strawberries, then helped get the gourds ready to be painted in Mrs. Moye's art class.

Ms. Sanchez asked teams at her STEM class to create a ship out of aluminum foil and make sure it will float (or sink). The class would look at each ship and choose what they thought would happen. Then each team got to speak about how they designed their boat after it was tested. Ms. Sanchez explained that they needed to be "inspected" for safety.

🍀Mrs. Marie Land and her Gardening team celebrated St. Patrick's Day 🍀 with the classes, making wishes and learning the history of this holiday. They also "planted" their seed bombs and looked for leprechauns. 🏆 Mrs. Joyner's class won for collecting the most compost of any class, and Mrs. Land gave them extra prizes.
