You all made our hearts happy and we are so appreciative for your continuous support. To our amazing staff! It all starts with a vision, or a thought. Then comes conversations & collaboration and then fun begins! Everyone steps up even if it's out of our comfort zone to support our babies! Our scholars were super stoked! As we gear up for SC READY we want to "PEP" our scholars up with ENERGY, ENCOURAGEMENT, & SCHOOL SPIRIT! Parents, Guardians and Community Members are welcomed to "RALLY" with us to help get our scholars PUMPED and SC READY to ROCK THE TEST!!!
As we prepare for SC READY testing, MES will kick off a “SC READY Spirit Week” during the week of April 27th – May 1st to help build student motivation, confidence, and excitement leading into testing.
The goal of this spirit week is to create a positive and encouraging environment while also reinforcing the importance of being prepared and doing one’s best. Each day will include a simple, school appropriate theme that promotes engagement without disrupting instructional time.
In addition, we will continue to emphasize strong testing habits such as getting adequate rest, eating a healthy breakfast, and taking time to check their work.

MES celebrated Black History Month with a powerful and meaningful program honoring the heroes of black history, past and present.
We were truly honored to welcome former SC State Senator Kevin Johnson as our special guest. His words of wisdom, encouragement, and real-life experiences left a lasting impression on our students. He reminded us all that leadership, courage, and perseverance matter, and that each of our scholars has the potential to make a difference.
Thank you, Senator Johnson, for spending time with our MES family and for pouring into our students in such an authentic way.
We are also incredibly proud of our students and staff who worked so hard behind the scenes and on stage to make this program so special. Your hard work, talent, and teamwork made the day one to remember.
Moments like these remind us that history is not just something we learn about, it’s something we live and continue to create together.
